- Causing trouble in the Heavenly Palace again
The story begins with Sun Wukong’s return from the journey to the Western Heaven, where he is crowned as the Fighting Buddha, immortal and ranking among the immortal classes. But he couldn’t trust the little monkey in Huaguo Mountain and didn’t want to be constrained. Therefore, hanging seals and sealing gold, drifting away, returning to Huaguo Mountain, spending the whole day carefree and happy with monkeys and grandchildren.
An employee with great power and ability said that he had resigned and returned to his hometown. As a company leader, how can you be at ease? If we put it in a feudal society, it would be a rebellion. So the Heavenly Court once again dispatched heavenly soldiers and generals, led by Guankou Erlang Xiansheng Zhenjun Yang Jian, to attack Huaguo Mountain.
When Wukong saw that the sky was filled with darkness and all the gods, he was not afraid and flew on clouds to confront them. Erlang Shen sympathized with him and even advised him a few words, but Wukong was resolute in his will.
The two of them had a big battle, with sticks and knives coming and going without a clear winner. Yang Jian waved his hand and let the four Heavenly Kings and the Giant Spirit God rush forward. Coincidentally, Wukong spoke without mercy and called Yang Jian ‘nephew’. Erlang was furious and thought to himself, ‘If you want to be a cheap uncle, I’ll let you taste the power.’.
So he successfully activated the “Uncle Splitting Axe” that he and his nephew Chenxiang had both “chopped mountains to save their mother” before, and struck it with one axe!
Da Sheng was defeated and turned into a kite to escape, while Er Lang turned into Hai Dongqing to pursue.
Just as the Great Sage was about to return to Flower and Fruit Mountain for a fight, the headband suddenly reappeared, trapping Wukong. Erlang’s third eye shone with golden light, and with one strike, he shot down Wukong to the top of the mountain.
Wukong’s body is immortal, transforming into six “eyes, mouth, ears, nose, tongue, and meaning” scattered across four continents.
Legend has it that gathering all six roots can resurrect the Great Sage and revive the Flower and Fruit Mountain.
This is a story told by an old monkey, and you are a young monkey named “Destiny Man” five hundred years later. You need to travel westward again, collect six sticks, and bring the Great Sage back to the world.
- Six impure roots
Six scattered across six major levels.
Firstly, there is the Black Wind Mountain, which is also the most difficult place to happen in Journey to the West. The old monk of Guanyin Temple coveted the Jinlan Robe and intended to snatch it, but his success was soon discovered by Wukong, who set fire to the temple. The black bear spirit was also given a golden hoop by Guanyin and collected as the guardian god of the mountain.
But in the game, the Guanyin Zen Temple was rebuilt, and the Black Bear Spirit returned from the South China Sea, learned the resurrection technique, and led the little demon to occupy the Black Wind Mountain. At the beginning, the abilities of the Tianming people were very weak, but fortunately, the Earth God will teach you various spells such as body shaping, transformation, gathering and dispersing qi. Defeat monsters such as Lingxuzi, Guangzhi, and Guangmou along the way. When encountering the ‘white clothed scholar’, he even said something very strange: ‘Big brother originally sent me to be an insider. Since you have defeated me, remember what you want and forget it for the best.’.
Tianming Ren went up the mountain all the way, defeated the Black Bear Spirit, and obtained one of the six he had been guarding, “Kankan Xi”. The Black Bear claimed to be greedy for a moment and was coerced by the Heavenly Court to become an enemy of Tianming Ren. The land god also said that there was someone else behind the orders.
Then the Tianming people arrived at Huangfeng Ridge, which was ruled by the Huangfeng King. A headless man was mournfully playing a three stringed qin and singing a Shaanbei storytelling, guiding the Tianming people to search for the second spiritual root and teaching them external body techniques and bronze headed iron arms.
The story of this level is even more bizarre. The Sand Kingdom is occupied by the Rat Demon, and the Golden Ancient Kingdom has become Huangfengling. Sandworms are rampant, yellow sand is everywhere, and there are even tiger pioneers eating people. At this moment, Huang Feng, the Great Sage, appeared and said that all of this was done by the sand worm “Mang”, and requested the mandate of heaven to help him eliminate Mang in exchange for peace. Unexpectedly, he gave the stolen treasure to Huang Feng, but found that he was the culprit. It was he who turned the people of countrymen into rat demons and led the demons to occupy the Huangfeng Ridge.
The Tianming man was furious and defeated the fierce Huangfeng Dasheng. A Buddha head fell from his arms, which was the head of a headless person. His true body turned out to be Lingji Bodhisattva. Lingji Bodhisattva turned his head and said that after the Yellow Wind Monster was subdued by him before, he stole the spiritual root “Ear Listening Anger” and cut off his head, causing chaos and suffering for the living souls. Tianming Man obtained the second spiritual root “Ear Listening Anger”. But from the words of other NPCs and the Yellow Wind King, it seems that this is not entirely the case.
On the third return to Xiaoxi Tian, it was occupied by the Yellow Eyebrow King, who had stronger abilities. He not only transformed the four major divine generals of Prince Xiaozhang into the four major demon generals, but also bewitched the gods such as Kanglong Dragon and Maori Star Lord to use them. Fortunately, Bajie appeared and followed along the way. Maitreya Buddha also taught the Heavenly Mandate Man the “Forbidden Word Technique”, specifically to restrain the Yellow Eyebrow, after all, this demon is the Yellow Eyebrow Boy under his sect. After the Yellow Eyebrow Monster was defeated, it fell into the water. Maitreya Buddha turned the rake of the Eight Precepts into a fishing rod and caught the spiritual root “Nose Smelling Love”.
On the fourth trip back to Pansi Cave, Zhu Bajie suddenly appeared and realized that this was actually his home. Spider spirits are all children of Bajie. And the old spider spirit was unexpectedly demoted to the mortal world by Chang’e “Purple Spider”. She fell in love with Tianpeng at first sight, but Tianpeng stumbled upon something he shouldn’t have seen and was demoted to a pig. Purple Spider was hard to find and turned into a monster, waiting for him until he turned white haired. What’s even more regrettable is that Purple Zhuer has already grown up with chicken skin and crane hair. Although she wore the makeup of her daughter when she first met, Bajie couldn’t recognize her as the person she was back then.
In the end, Purple Spider was absorbed by the Hundred Eyed Demon Lord and died with fragrance. Looking at Bajie, he said, ‘You’re still the same as before, stupid.’ No one saw the tears in the old pig’s eyes as he turned around. Before his death, the Hundred Eyed Demon Lord shouted, “Master, come and save me quickly.” The sky was silent. The ending song sounds heartbreaking.
Flame Mountain is the fifth chapter. Bull Demon King and Wukong were originally sworn brothers, but were betrayed by the Heavenly Court and led a group of demons to besiege Flower and Fruit Mountain together. The Bull Demon King obtained one of the six, and his son, Red Boy, wanted to take it as his own. The Bull Demon King refused, because the Red Boy was the son of the Bull Demon King, not the son of the Bull Demon King. Red Boy, also known as the Holy Infant of Luosha, led the Luosha tribe to rebel and was annihilated by Lingshan. Princess Iron Fan’s junior brother informed Red Boy of his background, so he wanted revenge by feigning death and deceiving Old Bull Spirit Root, transforming into the Night Fork King. Tianming Man defeated Red Boy and obtained the Spirit Root.
After obtaining the six stems, Tianming realized that he was the meaning of the six stems. He returned to the stubborn rocks of Huaguo Mountain and the body of the Great Sage appeared. I thought defeating the body could merge into one, and the Great Sage would be resurrected. But the body of the Great Sage transformed into a tight hoop and did not come back to life. The old monkey kindly took the tight hoop and let the person appointed by heaven put it on. At one moment, six roots scattered, time and space restarted, the destined person was reborn, and they had to embark on a journey to the west.
