Later, we saw the stone egg that our senior brother had turned into after his death, and upon touching it, we entered his memory.
At this moment, we saw the old monkey who had been waiting for a long time, explaining to us the origin and development of Wukong’s six roots. These six eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind are the true Sun Wukong only when they are gathered together. Each one tells the story of a monkey brother, and the old monkey slowly tells the whole story. We and Bajie listen quietly.
The old monkey knew so much that Bajie thought he was the last “will” of his senior brother. However, the old monkey told us that after experiencing so many hardships, he was the last “will” of Wukong. To gather all six, he must defeat his original self. The old monkey rowed the boat and brought us to the last place. He told us that only by defeating the remains of the Great Sage can we inherit his will. However, his remains have turned into a soulless zombie. What we need to do is remove him and become the new generation of the Great Sage of Qi Tian.
After defeating the Stone Ape, his body condensed back into the Great Sage, and he is the final boss we will defeat. The remnants of the Great Sage possess all our abilities and spells, transformed from the remaining thoughts of Wukong. (After death, he will be reborn in the last Buddha niche stone realm)
As we defeated the Great Sage, the story came to an end. We gathered all six of them, and the old monkey put on the golden hoop for us again. At this point, the destined man became the new generation of the Great Sage Sun Wukong. But is the story really over? Do the destined man still have to bear the shackles brought by this golden hoop? Perhaps we will see new possibilities in another ending.
